Governor urges the Bulakenyos to Pray for the Angat Dam

Bulakenyos joined the Nationawide day of prayer at the Bulacan Capitol Mini Forest participated by hundreds people for the safety of the province from the possible Angat Dam break last January 20, 2014.
Gov. Wilhelmino M.-Sy Alvarado said during an interview that the president already allocated 5.7 million for the rehabilitation of the Angat. And they are just waiting for it to be spent.
“Hanggat hindi nagagagwa ang Angat ang danger ng pagkakaroon ng Dam break kapag lumindol is always there and if its happen the result is imaginable”
He also urges the Bulakenyos to pray because only God knows what will happen.
“nasa tao ang gawa nasa diyos ang awa”
Up to now theres still no exact date where the angat dam rehabilitation will start.
“nagdadabate ba sila kung sino ang magpapagawa para makasaves sa 5.7 m”
Gov. Alvarado also said that there is going to be a bigger Angat Dam break drill on February 7, 2014.
“Prevention is better than cure..but in the end we have to accept the Will of God so we have to pray and turn away from our wicked ways (2 Chronicles 7:14)
Angat Dam is a concrete water reservoir embankment hydroelectric dam that supplies the Manila metropolitan area water. It was a part of the Angat-Ipo-La Mesa water system. Its is located in Barangay San Lorenzo (Hilltop), Norzagaray, Bulacan. It supplies potable water to Metro Manila and powers a hydro-electric power plant.
